Hey Phil......one of your (many and varied) theories has been proved correct.

We've got an Astro in for a service at the mo, that didnt look *quite* right (not one of our imports i hasten to add!). Turns out its a 93 (old shape) EXT van, with Z code motor, and NEW shape front end sheetmetal. Looks pretty good from a distance, but if you get up close nowt fits right though. The ground effects / wheelspats dont fit the arches properly, and the grille has had to be butchered to fit.

Aside from that it looks pretty good.

I wont post piccies of the van on here, cause I dont think the guy that owns it knows what he's got.

When ya doing yours then??

well knock me down with a girraffes schlong...

i actualy got something right!!

the sheetmetal is spot welded in place, so the fit and finish is all down to how well the job has been done..

from the baulkhead back, the bodies are the same.

You keep yer fetishes to yerself!

Just thought you might like to know. Its a really oddball thing this Astro.
Im guessing the guy would be REALLY peeved if he knew exactly what it was......but i dont really think its for me to tell him?

it would be nice to look at actualy - just to see how involved the swap is..
