I really ought to know this, but how do I calculate my MPG?  I've done the 'fill tank to brim, drive, refill noting mileage and amount of fuel'.

What do I do with them to get my fuel (lack of) economy?

Work out how much fuel you used, in gallons, then divide by how many miles you did.

or use this http://www.geocities.com/mpgcalc/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">http://www.geocities.com/mpgcalc/

Miles traveled / Gallons used = MPG (in US gallons)

ex. 300 / 15 = 20

To get a true feel of your MPG I would check this 3 times and average the 3.

ex. 345 / 17.2 = 20.06
     313 / 16.5 = 18.97
     320 / 15.7 = 20.38

    20.06 + 18.97 + 20.38 = 59.41

    59.41 / 3 = 19.8

The way you drive I wouldn't bother

Divide the number of litres by 4.54 = UK gallons.

Then divide you mileage by the number of gallons , the most acurate way is to brim the tank, drive until nearly empty and then brim it again and see how many litres you have used ?

That's the key bit of info I needed.

Thanks guys.
