The casting on that block was thinner than i expected, not sure exactly what caused the failure unless he was running high boost over reving normaly buzzes the piston with the valves (seen that a couple of times with our 2.1 pinto)

I wish i had a camera when i was in my mates bodyshop the other week, there was sat a saxo with the funiest induction kit you had everseen. A piece of convoluted aluminium tube cable tied to the carb top all be it very loose coupled at the other end to a carbon fiber tube again loosley cable tied to the cdore support at no point did i see any filter
