Mine underwent a pretty full restoration and respray from 2001 - 2003 by a big Chevy fan 2 owners before me. The car has been up north since being in the UK before I dragged it down the A1. Got all the history dating back to the rebuild thankfully and it's had a lot of time and money thrown at it.

As far as I'm aware it's been garaged pretty much constantly since.

Thats why I wince when I go through a puddle in winter now!

Wish it had the 5.7 though, but I guess you can't have everything (Fubar excepted).

Giblets

By the way, thats the American Thunder exhaust you flogged me on ebay poking out the rear.

Did you recognise it?

CJ-IROCZ

Yep i thought it was you.

I've got a Hooker aerochamber cat-back now . it sounds fairly quiet but has a mean tone to it but i've got the electric cut outs to open up if i want to be loud

I'm glad i've got the 350 but i wasn't to bothered when i was looking for one. My main aim was to get a decent car , looks like yours is the bollocks so i wouldn't worry about the engine if i were you.

whats you headliner like ? I'm desperatly trying to get a headliner kit sent over to me but none of the companys that make them will ship internationally. once that sorted the interior will be as good as new

Giblets

Mine seems to be a home made headliner. It's a sort of light grey cordroid material that I haven't seen before.

it doesn't look very tidy with the roof panels off, but other than that it holds up OK and has no marks or sagging.

For a moment I was thinking of turning my entire interior to tan to match my leather seats I bought of Ryan, but when I realised the cost and hassle involved I backed away!

I might dye the seats black one day which will go better with grey carpet and plastics, but the seats were well worth it as they are so much more comfortable for a big oaf like me.

That was my plan with them m8 until the car went.

I'm pretty sure that the double horizontal dividers on the tail lamps came in for the 1985 model year.
Prior to that it was just one horizontal divider.

An 87 IROC should not have 1 horizontal divider.

Rocky

My 87 RS had single divider. But that was the budget model.

Christ my parts list is growing longer.

so thats

headliner
original rear bumper
original tail lights
reburd'd rims

Thats probably the better part of a £800 there

CJ-IROCZ

Got me tail lights sorted of a guy on the thirdgen boards.

Dean i had a good look at my headliner last night and the board is still in place but has cracks all over it so i think i need the complete unit. I had a n email of a guy offering me the use of his shipping container so fingers crossed i might have one on the way soon

If you can do that lot for under £800 mate, you've done well!

Of course you don't have to spend £330 on the rims like I did.

They do look the tits though...

CJ-IROCZ

Yeah maybe more

I'm thinking

£200 for the headliner , i've got someone putting it in their container,.
£100 - 200 for the bumper , thats if one ever comes up,
£40 for the taillights , they are on there way from a thirdgen guy now,
£300 for the reburb'd rims

It may be wishful thinking though
