Insurance RANT !

Had the renewal notice for the Panda a few weeks ago and it was £359
It's a group 2E vehicle which is the second lowest group of all cars.
Spoke to Adrain Fuks and thet said it's because of your postcode ??
Well you have never said that before and they said that all premiums are rising

What from £220 to £359

So the last few weeks I've tried just about every insurance company know to man ( that's what I thought my Brokers were paid for )

The AA advertise that they can get you a quote 40% less, our best quote is £412 with double the amount of excess they said
Oh they said we specialise in domestic vehicles not foreign, to which I replied " So you only really insure Morgans because they are the only British car company left ? "
Of course the Numpty in the Indian call centre was completly lost now

To cut a very long story short Churchill would take into account all my other no claims certs on the other vehicles and quoted £192
So I went back to Adrian Fuks who said that if I could provide it in writing they would see what they could do - very big of them !
It's taken 10 days to get a written quote out of Churchill, won't e-mail or fax due to security reasons, faxed if off to Fuks this morning and half an hour later the price has dropped to £185 with £95 less excess

When you ring any insurance company now they ask for your registration No. and then tell you the exact details of the vehicle because it's all on an insurance database ( including tax & MOT )
SO why the fek do I have to go through all this crap everytime just to avoid being ripped off

my postcode has A higher insurance band, EG, why I sold my car.....However, I have lived in the same flat for 8 months now, havent seen one broken window, not one stolen car, and barely any bumper to bumper daps

I would have paid Churchill the extra tenner.
AF do not deserve the business.

I had that problem with them and switched to MCE even though they came back with a cheaper quote after MCE.
When they asked why I told them straight:

"If you're making so much profit out of me that you can afford to drop it by £300 and obviously still be making money on it you can blow it out your ****"

My insurance went DOWN when i moved from peaceful Caldecotte (nicest estate in MK) to leighton buzzard (scum central).... figure that one out!

I had the EXACT same thing with AF last year, they sent the Salnne renewal through at over £1400... when i told them MCE were around £700 () they instantly dropped to a fiver cheaper.... so they cut almost £700 !!!!  I went with MCE.....
