So i ordered a 2200 stall Torque converter from bowtie overdrives 2 months ago which i have now placed in my car and is working great

It took a while to come so i emailed them and complained about taking much longer than they said it would and they said i would get it within the week , which i did.

Low and behold i recieved a second torque converter today free of charge

I've double checked my paypal account and i've only been charged once. I feel alittle guilty as i dont like benefiting from others misfortune but in this situation i tempted to not say anything due to it being a big company and all.

If i rang them and told them what happened do you reckon they would ask me to send it back ? or should i keep my mouth closed and stick it on ebay

Hey it's there muck up, if they can't run their business properly that's their problem
I've been waiting 5 months now for two sofa's from SCS, told them that unless they gave me a reasonable discount I'd cancel the order !
So keep stum but bear in mind they might sort out their paperwork later !

CJ-IROCZ

Yeah your right.

Even if they sorted there paperwork out i reckon they couldn't charge me as i paid by paypal and I'm preaty sure they cant withdraw money with out my authority.

It would probably cost £70 + to send it back for a part that prob costs them $100 to manafacture so they might not even bother

I'd look into that 1st.  Make sure rather than assuming.  I don't know what standard or regulation paypal has.  Also - it's probably a US company, so UK laws wouldn't cover it.  - Be careful.

CJ-IROCZ

not sure about that one.

The purchase date was 15-03-07 , when i originally purchased my first one, so its been almost 2 months since they sent it

Giblets

I think you're safe mate.

they are gonna realize that you don't want 2 torque converters, so they can hardly justify charging you twice for their own cock up!

You can always deny the second one arrived.

their word against yours.

I'm sure like me, you've been dicked around my enough bad business's over time so consider this a small slice of retribution.

CJ-IROCZ

Yep i have been dicked around mate, and by this company , the original part took 3 weeks longer than they promised.

I'll lay low for a couple of weeks and then see if anyone wants a cheap TC

Giblets

Hah!

Like they'll find you down in Cornwall anyway!

CJ-IROCZ

Well its not so secluded anymore down here Rafe. There is actual talk of a "road" being built.

It's the time that we kill that keeps us alive...

CJ-IROCZ

Initaily it was going to be built using tarmac but finding the right materials is proving a problem.

There is talk of using an experimental mix of cow dung and orange string ( a material that seems to keep cornwall running) i dont think there is a farmer alive that hasn't got it doubled round his waist to keep his trousers up
