Question is Tri-Power or go 6x2 (which'll require another 7" or so of intake) . . . . ?

Just did a drawing based on the sizes stated and it'll increase the distance by an absolute maximum of 5".

The "Y" adapter I'm looking at is only 3.5" high.

injector placement is an asshole....

it ideally needs to fire at the back of the closed intake valve to atomise in time for when the next pulse of air enters the cylinder...

but if you look at an older f1 engine the injector sits about 9 inches away from the end of the intake trumpet and just firse down it, towards the butterfly....

i say you put a blower on it....

Yeah, I've seen a couple of them. They look really pikey for an F1 engine, even if it is a bit old now.

EDGE

look pikey yes... but worked suprisingly well.... the sierra rs500 touring car used the same idea, injector down each trumpet at the side like normal, then one more per trumpet firing straight on..

Suitable manifolds aren't available for that generation of Caddy block - or not that I've found . . . and I've looked, believe me.

What about a crate Northstar V8?
Seem to be going for around $4.5k.

Would that be a Cosworth engine by any chance?

Only that's what the eco-car engine did, and the design was done in consultation with their engine design team about 8 years ago...

there probably aren't any blower manifolds available no..... since when has that stopped us ?
