The good old RAF have dropped a clanger today, well a bomb actually

They have launched an investigation after a jet accidentally dropped a practice bomb during an exercise.

The device was lost during a 90-minute training sortie from the Tornado GR4's base at RAF Lossiemouth, but there don't know where

The jet's route took it across north east Scotland and Northumberland, with half the flight over the sea.

The RAF said that even if the bomb did survive the fall, it was "highly unlikely" to be dangerous - but people were warned not to touch the device.

The dark blue bomb is two-and-a-half feet long !!!

Thats happened before only the last time i can remember it was dayglo orange, a fisherman hauled it in with his nets and a legal battle over the ownership broke out with the fisherman claiming salvage rights and trying to sell it back to the RAF
