when you come into bedfraud on the A428, you come to a set of double mini roundabouts just after a small rail bridge, take a left there (Shakespear road) and ahead at the large roundabout (where the A6 crosses).. this takes you  up manton lane, past bedford modern school and the old texas instruments place... keep going over the hill, at the bottom of the hill there is a row of shops and a pub called the bird in hand, pull in there and gimmie a call, i live about 1 min from there.

so to recap, come into bedford and turn left, keep going untill you reach the pub.
