amp / sub wiring question..

is it possible to have an amp switched?

i'm putting an amp and sub in the van, and would prefer to be able to totaly switch the amp off, as i'm paranoid about battery drain..

art, how is yours wired? i know you dont have any power drain problems..

its going to drive the sub and the rear speakrs..

You would need a battery isolator switch, but i see no point as the amp takes no power until the Remote wire is HOT when the head unit is switched on

ive put a switch in the remote  wire,
then i can switch off the amp,which controls 1 xplod sub and 2 rear speakers,
that then leaves 4 speakers on the head unit, 2 in the dash and 2 at the front of the rear passenger area,
think ive blown 2 speakers to bits with to much volume !
will ave to check one day!

the isolator switch is a good idea, and easy to do..
