had noticed the fuel economy had dropped off on the stang, on the trip to belgium it averaged just 26mpg, and on the last tank of mixed driving it averaged 21..both times i had filled up with tesco petrol several times, so the concentration of supermarket fuel in the tank was 100%

the last 3 tanks i have filled up at BP stations, a whopping 1p per liter more expensive.. on the last tank i did an economy test again, mixed driving, some motorway, quite a bit of urban and a run to MK and back.. result? 28.1mpg (without trying)

incidently my best ever of 36mpg was achieved on a motorway trip running on BP ultimate..

F Body

I filled the Panda up with Sainsburys low sulphur or something like that Diesel
I actually looked under the bonnet the next day because I thought the had fallen off
It generally gets fed Asda's finest Derv

FUBAR

Sainsbury's 'City Diesel' is meant for exactly that... there's a reason why its cheap...
It's the time that we kill that keeps us alive...

Roadkill

I always only use BP . . . or Shell if I'm skint as it's 1p / litre cheaper.

Or Asda's if I'm on fumes and have no choice at all . . . as it's a further 1-2p cheaper.
