that looks a pretty relaxed drive, compared to some...

love the footage of the nurburgring.....
drove round it last year whilst on holiday ,
its more exciting with the missus screaming slow down,and get of the kerbs, and the kids yelling to go faster,
the packs  of bottled beer going from side to side in the boot make it interesting too
dunno how long it took me but its a long way round....

The new Nissan Skyline GTR has done it in 7:29 but that's not a saloon.

The Corvette ZR1 has *I think* matched it (or is within 2 seconds or so) but the chief engineer on the Corvette has said they *will* beat it.  They intend to be the fastest production car around the track.  the Nurburgring is Nissans home track for Skyline development, GM just fly in and out whenever.

The problem I have with Skyline official times at the Nurburgring has always been that no-one has ever even come close to them in a production Skyline.  So I smell shenanigans...

It's already been shown the Vette is using stock factory run flat tyres and the GTR is using hand cut race tyres so it's definately not stock...

The current 20.8 km Nordschleife course has 33 left and 40 right turns (actually about 100 corners, as counted by enthusiasts). The lower left yellow area indicates the location of a part of the Grand Prix course
