Does anyone know anywhere good to get my brake calipers reconditioned?  The rubber needs changing and a small bit of metal for the pad locating pin needs to be welded back on...

Someone in near MK would be good..?

You'd normally buy a reconned one and leave your core (core charge) there for someone else . . . .

Hmm, well as a temport measure I only need a little bit welded back onto the caliper, do you know anyone good and cheap at welding?

I used a company, K&J in bletchley years back for odds and sods . . .

Problem is it's cast (probably) and castings don't take weld very well.

Any small machine shop should be able to sort you out for beer tokens . . . there's plenty, I dare say, in Bletchley . .

Exactly what I was going to say and heat can cause more damage/distortion etc

You tried somewhere like German & Swedish parts for a cheap replacement
