I'm guess a 2.0 litre V6 automatic

Your right on the 2.0L V6, but it's a manual...

It has a shocking 5inch pipe fitted though..

Looks like he's broken it already

Nah, he was setting off a car air fresh bomb to clear the old man smell...

Indeed don't think you'll ever see Shifty with an Auto
It's the time that we kill that keeps us alive...

Incursus

I like it.  Quite a lot actually.

It's a FWD . . . . . Shifty reckons it's a hairdressers car.

Quite rare then because most of the Jap imports are auto's

I quite like the rear ( sans spoiler ) , the front is not dis-similar to a Fiat Coupe in shape

EDGE

that looks cool, where do you get one of those air cleaner things from ?

Shifty got his from Hellfrauds...

bbfmark

i had one of those got rid after a year as parts for them are so expensive i.e lower arm £600+vat trade mitzi part only 3000 mile service intervals and mega dear insurance other wise good car traded mine in on my z28 4gen

philoldsmobile

goes well though, kinda audi TT-ish in a lot of ways.. similar performance too..

dont mention servicing, the alfa is in for a service right now... only done 4000 miles, but 6 months are up, so its minor service time..

at least there has been no nasty surprises with this one so far..

bbfmark

not as quick as a tt  good cars generally but im 36 and i woulnt pay 1200 fully com to insure an audi tt which what the mitzi cost me!

1200 sheets, UUUUUUUUUUnlucky,

£460 ish, Fully comp, protected NCB, and I'm 26.

Only just noticed this thread about me and my new motor,
The FOAT (new nickname) is turning out to be a good motor, apart from a couple of blemishes it seams a really good car.

It handles well as it only weight 1100kg i believe and with 200hp it goes pretty well to, not the same as the MR2 being a front wheel drive shopping trolley but a nice little motor never the less.

I don't think the above pictures do the exhaust justice, for some reason the previous owner (of approximate 63 years of age) decided 3 months ago to put a full stainless system on it at a cost of £453.13 that sounds really good and rather quiet on the vehicle, i thought this sort of behaviour was restricted to chavs but evidently it extends to misguided old people. If it were quieter i would be more encouraged to change it but for the hassle it's going to be I'll probably leave it for a while then see if i can swap it of with someone, or just change the tip.

All in all it's a nice little motor so I'll probably keep it for a year then re-assess the car situation.

Watch this space, i'll probably be cussing it in a couple of weeks time when the engine falls out, but for now i'm happy.

PS. it only cost me £1200 so i defiantly wouldn't pay that for the insurance.

Shifty

Ow an yes it's quite a rare manual, I want to drive the car not let it drive it's self

Also the manual is slightly quicker as the auto looses an extra 15 or so hp through the funny tiptronic box.
