Yeah not bad at all for 5k.

You can see where Cadillac lost their way though

F Body

Not sure but the service history doesn't impress me

" Full service history as follows;

17,235 miles / 30 May 2006 - Stratstones Cadillac.

44,266 miles / 09 January 2008 - Moorland Motors Chevrolet / Saab.

27K between services

54,445 miles / 07 October 2008 - Swan Autos.

All receipts are present in a fully documented folder.

Cadillac UK demonstrator i.e. carefully thrashed from new by 50 people

Plus a director owner. Yeah, yeah and she was 65 years old ?

Can't find a single CTS older than 2003 in the UK to compare the price

Roadkill

Not my bag but seems like a good price.

Did you bid ?

I had a couple if bids. As F Body said it's hard to compare values on it.

I'd still prefer an STS though.

I prefer the looks of the Eldo's myself . . .
Must admit the '92 Eldo has grown on me . .  Think I'd potentially be looking to import a later model 00-02 Eldo in years to come - they fitted more toys in the later ones.

Indeed.

But considering my Eldo is 17 years old she's fairly gremlin-free.

HardRockCamaro

Looking at mine the important thing is grounds.  There are a lot of the ad they need to be A1.

I addition DO NOT pikey out on the battery.
I have a 690CCA one in there at the moment and it's nowhere near enough.  On v cold mornings when starting it resets the climate control and sometimes the amp doesn't power up.  In the summer it's always fine.  Ergo it's the battery not having enough spare capacity for all the cars systems when starting.  The car is supposed to have a 1000CCA battery...

Back to the CTS, those early models are v cheap these days.

Stratstone are advertising 05 models (3.6 Sport Luxury in black) with 17k on the clock for £8,300

I wouldn't say that CTS is worth any more than 5 imho and to be honest I'd prefer a similar mileage/condition 00/01 STS for about 4k.

My main gripe on the otherwise excellent CTS is the dash in the pre 09 model year.  Loads of Vauxhallesque black plastic and almost no wood.

Very good to drive though apparentley, much better than the STS in terms of handling and suitability to European roads.

That sort of car at that sort of price would be a Jag XJ V8 for me...

That's seems a lot of money for a 166 with 77k miles

philoldsmobile

nah, about going rate for a facelift ,there are so few about they command good money.

that car was about £33k in 2004

having said that, i'd probably rather save another 3.5k and buy either a maserati quatroporte (faaaaaaaaaast and subtle, Q car heaven) or a 147 GTA (totally bonkers)
