Anyone got EGR Valve spare??

Has anyone got a spare EGR valve lying around for the GMC at all - just caled JWR and almost fell off me chair when they said almost 300 QUID for it!

Yeah i know i could order one from Rock Auto (for around 100 dollar inc shipping) or equivillant but would very much prefer to get it sooner rather than later but not pay through the nose for it!!!

If all else fails, i prob end up ordering from EBay.COM as there plenty on there for 50-80 dollars

ian, rock auto deliver in around 2 days.
and ive been told you can clean an egr valve by leaving it sat in a bowl of brake fluid for 24 hours, wether its true or not i dont know.

Don't know but the ERG valve on a GMC is right beatch to get too

Yup thats good if the GMC could be stood for a few days, Plus it has been cleaner before and i can more or less guarentee its fubared majorly this time

i ordered loads of stuff off rockauto for the rv and did,nt pay express.
i ordered monday night and they turned up wednesday morning.

same here i ordered sunday night and it was here by weds

Ian one of those small socket sets is ideal for getting the 2 bolts out the tricky bit is getting them back in with the gasket but its doable if i was closer id do it for ya but you upped and moved ya daft sod

yeah tell me about it - i have already had it out 18-24 months ago to clean it up...fecking pain to get it in line, with the gasket inline as well....

Can't you 'stick' the gasket to the valve before installing it?  Bit of grease or silicone on the edge?

hmm tis a possibility...

Think i gunna end up buying a new one from EBay.com as there is a brand new one, EXACTLY the same part the rockauto are selling, currently going for 59 dollar BIN...just working out shipping costs....
