Over budget and behind schedule, the replacements for the 20 year old GPS satellites are sitting down here instead of up there.
You need 24 satellites for global accuracy and within a few years we may not have that:

(imho it will never happen as the US will throw money at it if they have to as they use the things for military applications).

Amazes me that with hundreds of satellites and thousands of pieces of space junk floating around up there, they can launch anything

i cant remeber if it's the koreans or the chineese that have launced a 'satelittle killer'

it's genius,

all it does is floats about in space, works out where the satellite it wants to attack will be and works out a trajectory and launches its weapon.





which is basically an old skip or buick.!!!!!! it just hangs the skip out and waits for the satellite to hit it thus destroying the thing..... I imagine the skip lives to fight another day.......  The skip or buick having no way of staying geostationary will then fall and burn on re-entry.... LOW TECH FTW !!!!!
