Roadkill

Nice car but . . .

Fooking awful colour . . .

Fooking awful wheels . . . And I personally hate ultra modern engines in classic cars.

So, for me, overall :

Gator

nah i like a sympathetic restomod but thats not it, it looks superbly done just not my taste

F Body

The only things missing for me would be the smell of unburnt petrol and pulse of a very large capacity V8

thats a big part of it it wont ever smell/sound like a 1st gen

Cunning Plan

Got to admire the engineering / electrics to get it to run, but I think the same as you guys, you buy classic to have the whole classic package and a noisey chugging engine is part of that. Modernise it - fine, but too much and it looses its character..
1968 VW T2 Bay Bus (currently being restored and upgraded)
1999 Jeep Cherokee XJ (modern classic daily driver)

HardRockCamaro

Horrible colour, but nicely done.

However I *do* like the idea of an old car restored with a modern, but related, powerplant.
With suitable brakes and suspension work, that car is now a valid daily driver with good mpg, reliability and so on.

I would much prefer to have that then say the new Challenger which is a modern copy of the old car.

Fieldy

I personally would like an old car, with the modern engine....

just not that one
