hood repair mini project advice please louise

i have a spare formula hood that has the cowl vents missing, i a patch section from another hood to repair this

the hood is fibreglass and the patch is metal how would i go about the repair specifically bonding the metal patch to hood then smoothing so the join is as invisible as possible

Wouldn't it be better to find some replacement vents?

i would chop the entire middle section out and fit a 3" cowl...

it might just be a tad over the top having 2 large air intakes pointing forward and cowl induction pointing backwards as well but i like yer style none the less

I wouldn't see any difference using a normal glass fibre product on say a wheel arch etc, in this case it's just the other way round.
