Also brought the Spohn Front and Rear Sway Bars, Adjustable Panhard and Lower C.A's and relocation kit.

Also the Jegs shortened Torque Arm and welded prop loop.

Holy MotherF*cker.  That's serious . . . .

Still. I've had the car years . . . It's about time I got my ar$e in gear !

FUBAR

Bloody 'ell!!

M8, when you get this lot can I help out installing it all? as some of the less extreme items may find their way onto the IROC eventually, would be good to have done the jobs before.

+ It would be useful to know anyway.

No problem . . . . . . I'm not doing the front until I get that tubular K-Member and A-Arm set, though . . . .

I'm on a mission, now !

Yep !

Thing is those K-Members take up to 10 weeks to fabricate !! . . . add delivery and shipping on and even If I odered them now I wouldn't see them until winter . . . . .

Update :

Dropped the fuel tank out yesterday . . . . along with over 3 gallons of go-go juice.  (went in the chav'scort).

Broke a couple of bolts (actually they were both broke but I just finished them off).
Drilled out the old and re-tapped ready for the new.

Also note hole in floor pan over the fuel tank . . . .

Yes, I know PhilO will be shuddering . . . - Anyway this was rough and jagged . . now it's been re-cut, squared up and primed . . . It will recieve a inspection hatch sometime soon.

Roadkill

Next job will be to finish removing the fuel lines to give the underneath a thorough clean and a scrub-down.

Then it's POR15 time . . .

The tank will be treated too . . . although it had a very small leak so this will obviously affects its future somewhat . . .

The only other thing I did on mine was to use Grey-Stripe seam sealent (Halfords) on ALL panel edges & joins, especially where they are spot welded.  would be wise to do that before slapping on the POR-15

Will be a piece of piss to do though, there's literally nothing in the way at all

Good idea.

Does POR15 require a primer ?

Or just slap it on bare metal, too ?

Roadkill

Just sifting through the debris that is last weeks spending . . . .

$1,600+ spent at Spohn.

$530 spent at Jegs.

Another $100+ from Rock Auto to come . . . .

Better get that K-Member ordered before I get cold feet !

Well, as its emerged I only used the Rust preventative paint and not the actual underseal (that will be getting done this summer then!) I just wiped down the floorpan to remove all the dirt & dust first.
I did use some of the blue metal-ready stuff in the odd place where there was very mild surface rust starting but I found that the paint seemed to like that less than just clean painted metal like the rest of the car was.

Okkies . . .

I'll be making an order, then . . .

6.3L for the win!!!!

Roadkill

I'm eyeing up a Barry Grant blow-through carb in time.

Mini Update.

Fuel sender Inspection panel now cut and fitted.

(1mm Pre-Galv.)

Roadkill

Something dawned on me last night . . . . I'm doing all this and my engine's still fooked.

Don't get me wrong she still pulls like a train but seriously smokes hard, too.

I'm actually very focused, car-wise, at the moment - probably the first time in years.

I'm gonna continue with the Camaro until she's finished - ie. at a stage where she's not requiring work for the forseeable future and continue to buy stuff for the Caddy when I've brought the last few bits for the 'Maro.

So an engine rebuild's in order, then.

Well, it's gotta come out to fit the new K-Member and stuff . . .
