do GM still list them?

Think they do.

That said I think I have them . . . when I was originally looking for them I was hunting seven machined screws . . not seven coach bolts !!

Have also fired off an email to Spohn's Tech department regarding the Pinto Rack Kit they do . . . . . see if it can be fitted in-situ or if bits need removing . . .

Quoting: Spohn Tech Dept.
You can do it right in the car without having to remove anything. Thanks!

A not-particularly-in-depth answer but neverless positive.

I've been speaking with a guy in the states regarding an alternator re-location bracket.  Unfortunately I'll need another alternator to do it but hey-ho - he sells them for about £45 and the bracket for £50 . . . . .

All systems go, then . . . . . . . . when some money rolls in, anyway.

Got the seats all fitted and sorted (thanks to Andy for the spacers).

Got a few little jobs done, too plus now the trans has oil in it as does the motor.

Bits should be coming back from blasting today so I can start re-assembling the front end ready for wiring.

Sweet - any noticable leaks thus far ?

Cool - is the wiring ready to go then ?

Did they go together alright? Pics?

Pics to follow . . although you can't really see the spacers.

Only the Titted one can comment on that . . . . I've done pretty-much everyhting I can, now.

Can just about see the spacers under the runners, there . . .

Here's another pic :

They're the screws that hold the headlight surrounds to the lenses . . . I've also painted the headlight adjustment screws ready for re-assembly.

The other parts should be coming back to me tomorrow from my brother . . .

the screws dumbass

Thought so.

My little Exlim loves that macro stuff.

Update :

Front brake hardlines were fitted on sunday (thanks Fubes) ready for attaching to the rest of the system . . .

Sent (hopefully) the last wave of stuff to the sand-blasters and, after much-a-to-do got it back monday night.

Thus begun a painting frenzy in order to make up some of the lost time . . .

And so;

Headlight buckets are primered and painted, as are the screws so will be getting re-assembled with their new headlights tonight (hopefully).

Front crash-bar is primered and the back part painted . . . the front needs to be POR15'ed before the cleaned honey-comed part gets re-fixed . . .

Plus a shed-load of other misc brackets and clips have been done too . . . the most important being the brakeline-related stuff . . . these are finished and ready to go back on the car meaning, theoretically I could have brakes by the weekend.

Andy

Sounds fierce! Will be gilotiening, guilo... guilotenning cutting your ally sheet at lunch, want it shot blasted? (finish may not be amazing but better than the light scratches it has in it now)

Roadkill

Can do - no major big deal as it'll be POR15'ed (one side) anyway (it's for floor-pan inspection panels).

Would this fit the bill for the reverse lockout switch?

You can get a thumb switch on a ball shifter handle, with a 5 or 6 speed pattern on it (can't remember which 'box you've got).

Titsy

Dean already has the Hurst T handle, but without a switch.

As per our conversation on underdrive pulleys:

http://static.summitracing.com/global/images/instructions/bbk-1591.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">http://static.summitracing.com/global/images/instructions/bbk-1591.pdf

The BBK install also requires you to refit the original balancer/pulley to retain the balance of the rotating assembly.

If you haven't still got the balancer to put back on, or if you don't know which orientation it was in you are going to need to get your engine balanced or risk crank/bearing damage...

What's most impressive, is it's on-topic to off-topic ratio.  It's just not the MKB way.

Titsy

Back on-topic, Spohn are having a sale (on now) for independence day.

You steering rack is 15% off right now!

Roadkill

That fits on to the shifter stick how ?

Yeah, got the email.

With regards to the pulley - my instructions were definately not like those linked.

I'm looking into it . . .

it clamps around the shaft

Roadkill

Seems pricey for a switch.

Yeah, go for it.
