UPDATE (the last of the year, I'd guess) :

Tuesday 26/10

By now I knew that the parts from the states would be arriving before the weekend.  There was lots to do ideally before moving her into storage that coming weekend so I went about putting things into production . . . .

Wednesday 27/10

A big day . . . Myself and Ian collected the parts from the Parcelforce depot meaning the first job was to inspect and check all parts were present - which they were.
Next job was to remove the LT1's crank hub (a b@stard of a job) but with effort and time we got it off the crank (meaning that I could take it down to have the crucial keyway cut into the internal diameter for positive, repeatable location) - SEE LATER PICTURES
Final job of the night was to measure up for some lifting beams I was having made to hopefully ease the job of jacking the car up (it needed to be lifted very high to drill the SFC's for the exhaust sidepipes . . ).
Titsy was also round doing a few odd jobs in readiness for a hopeful weekend fire-up.
These jobs done we called it a night around 10pm.

Thursday 28/10

An even more critical night . . . .
I had a stack of parts that needing fitted ASAP !
Finding and setting T.D.C (or thereabouts) was the key so the motor's oil pump/system was firstly re-primed.
After much messing around T.D.C was found and the motor was left in that position until we were ready to fire.
Next job was to fit the plugs (this was where the troubles began . . . ).
Long story short some went in, some went in but needed a heavily modified socket to do them up which happened the next day !
The dizzy was re-fitted and the new super-duper Morosso leads installed and routed to there plugs - no easy task !!
Next the shiny new Spectre valve covers were fitted and I cannot state enough how utterly, utterly, utterly impressed I was with the quality and workmanship of these items - go and treat yourself to a pair immediately !!
Needless to say these went on like a dream meaning we were back on schedule and that only left the new breathers to install and hook-up to the carb - SEE LATER PICTURES
After a quick tidy-up myself and Ian sat down to a well deserved and fairly late Chinese.

Friday 29/10

All hell broke loose !!
I'd spent the day running around collecting parts from fabricators (sidepipes and my lifting beams - SEE LATER PICTURES ) and making sure bits were painted and tidy before going on.
Ian picked me up from work and we headed out to collect the trailer . . . .
We were already slightly behind schedule and hitting traffic only delayed us further.
We got back to M.K and before loading up I made sure that the plugs left loose from the previous night were now tightened with my modified socket before ANYthing else.
Next Ian went about scooping up almost every tool I own to make sure everything was covered . . . meanwhile I set about making up a make-shift timing pointer out of some ally I had from the centre-console panel and fitted it incase we needed it (which we didn't) using an uber cardboard template/jig i'd throw together at work that day (SEE LATER PICTURES).
The Camaro was loaded and taken to my works unit with a brief stop-off for £20's worth of Super.
The main work was divided, basically into two.
Myself and Ian concentrated on fitting the sidepipe and the exhaust, leaving PhilO, Titsy, Jackie and Chris to raise the car, tighten the crank hub, fit the crank pulley, fit the belt, tighten-up the alternator, fill with coolant and bleed out the air.  Minor snag was found when coolant start pouring out of an old sensor hole i'd failed to fill - quick trip home and an appropriate plug was found.
With the work done (and after some messing with the dizzy) I turned the key and the rest you'll see . . . and hear.
We left the unit at about 2.30am and returned at just passed 8am to relocate her, finally, to Sammy Lou's mum's house for winter storage.

Pictures will follow . . . .

Thanks to all involved in the final push.

Titsy

It does sound AWESOME! Especially with the cracking on the overrun when you come off the throttle...

Yep and Yep.

My existing ones would've melted in seconds !!!

Have some bling-bling wire holders here if they're any good to you . . . have blue annodised ally ones or gun-metal ally ones . . . .

They obviously won't fit the Morosso wires !

No, really, you could file them away and they still wouldn't fit !!

I'll sort some out . . . the blue ones are used - they came with the Camaro when I brought her . . . the others are brand-spanking new and I hunted high and low for a suitable set . . . only to have Ryans anchor-rope-like Morosso wires off of him.

You'll need the 'special' Moroso wire holders that the rest of the racing fraternity use... 1 large and 3 small zip ties in the colour of your choice
