Not far off I hope

Awesome

The other good thing is that your'll be able to smell the unburnt fuel, rather than a nasty cat smell

How's that under-drive pulley looking Dean? Am I going to need to order one?

Roadkill

Haven't had chance to have a look.

I'd certainly say it's useable . . . there's two points were there's damage to the peaks but the areas have broken away (not deformed) meaning it won't effect the operation.

There is a small area at the rear that has deformed a little . . . I'll take a needle file to it to reform the channel as opposed to try to bend it back into place which is likely to cause further/more damage.

I should have time to sort it this evening so will bring it to the LAN - let you have a look - see what you think.

Roadkill

Work has begun again on the Z28.

I have less than 4 months until the sprog arrives so I really need to get as much done as possible (it needs to be driveable) before then.

As the car is still in storage for the next month I'm limited as to what can be done, however I do have the "new" spoiler here.

At the weekend I made up some templates to help locate it on the tailgate and some more for the rubber gaskets I'll need to make to fit between it and the bodywork.

I've just tracked down some (hopefully) suitable gasket material and ordered an appropriate sized section.

I'll be speaking to a bodyshop regarding the bodywork (a couple of very small dents, some surface corrosion and a rust spot on each of the doors) - not bad for a 28 year-old car, this week.

FUBAR

Any idea yet when all the steering stuff will be off the car?

Roadkill

It'll be coming out of storage during March (probably early march) - as soon as it's back here it'll be coming off - that's my first job.

FUBAR

fair doos, I can then find time over the spring to sort that lot out onto my car after that

I can lend a hand, obviously, when you need it.

Amen to that.

Getting withdrawal symptoms !!

Work's started once again . . . .

Titsy did just under 6 hours of electrickery yesterday and I'm hoping to move her back Castle Roadkill by the end of this month to begin installing the new steering parts and fitting the spoiler.

What are you towing it with?

New Mondeo?

Yup.

Electrics have been tested.

Andy

See, not only have you got yourself an affordable, good mileage run about. You've also got a sweet tow truck/car! Just need to get a trailer and you could enter some drag racing events!

Hmm might be interesting re the towing weights though for the car / driving licence ....
