It's meant for increasing room under there but as mine is fooked from removing it . . . . . . .

Hmm interesting that would do the job

I'm thinking 3" Cowl Hood and IROC style spoiler . . .

you don't want to go too big with a cowl cos otherwise 3rd gens have a habit of looking a bit like a ski ramp... although with the earlier squarer nose you might be better off in that respect...

I've also seen those high-rise spoilers with a 3rd brake light built into them, I can't remember where though, might've been flebay US

Not cheap though . . . . the one I pulled off of mine is well fooked, mind you . . .

Well.  I've done it . . . finally lost the plot.

I've ordered the Spohn Tubular K-Member and A-Arms . . . . . . . . .

I was sensible, though . . . I resisted going Chrome-Moly and saved $350 !!!

. . . . .

. . . . .

But instead I kinda spent it on Performance front rotors and pads . . . .

Which I do kinda need as may rotors are pitted and buckled . . . .

. . . . .

. . . . .

Still . . . I feel kinda

Roadkill

Err . . . with shipping $1,350 . . . . .

I'm off to BMR, now, to make sure I'm committed.

Just sifting through the debris that is last weeks spending . . . .

$1,600+ spent at Spohn.

$530 spent at Jegs.

Another $100+ from Rock Auto to come . . . .

Better get that K-Member ordered before I get cold feet !

+$1,350 - Spohn

+$372 - BMR

I dare say W.R.E will be getting in touch soon, too . . . .

From the pics and not seeing it in the flesh, that body work sure does look sweet

Roadkill

She's fairly straight.  No major dents . . . not many minor ones for that matter.

Some minor rust, nothing structural . . . .

On a related note : I'm having parts made for a Engine Removal Gantry.

Basically a heavy-duty goal-post which will span the width of the car and remove the engine and box via a hoist (which is far more controllable then hydraulic ram).

Once clear the gantry can be rolled back to clear the car.

This not only solves the problem with cars with long noses (third gens) but can be left, safely for long periods of time without risk of damage or the load dropping.

Plus as it spans the car it means it's legs don't clash with cross-members on low sitting cars.

AND it can be unbolted and stored flat-ish . . . . Maximum load will be around 600kg . . or more if I go for heavier wheels.

Yes, say it . . . I'm a genius.

Sounds cool.  I might be interested in one myself.

Keep us informed...

Believe me - It's not gonna be repeatable.

Material and labour costs alone will be over £500. That's unpainted without the hoist or beam clamp or wheels !!!

That said when it's done it will be borrowable.

Apparently there a small dent the the door after "someone", who was slightly tipsy at the time opened Ryans car door on to it

Good job it wasn't the other way around or there might have been a hanging

Roadkill

It was Ryan's old Camaro . . Chris was pi$$ed and opened the door onto mine causing the worst dent my car's got . . . and right on the crease, to.

His reaction was to giggle . . .

I'm glad I'm more patient these days . . . . . .

Roadkill

Got the call from Webster Racing yesterday - My Axle is now fully LSD'ed up and shot-blasted ready for paint.

I'll pick it up this week.

Roadkill

Oh, all - in for £282 (INC vat).

Me a happy man.
