Good ole "one fits all" GM.

Will be easy to find out once the intake is off . . .

was just thinking the same

55starchief

Yeah thats where i got the info from lol. thats a pikey looking kit though as its designed to fit around the 4th gen engine bay.

I would just go with the other kit and not boost the motor as much. Im guessing the LT1 has the same header dimensions as a gen I SBC?

FUBAR

I think so... when you get to the LS1 the exhaust ports are equally spaced.
It's the time that we kill that keeps us alive...

AFAIK, yeah . . . hence I've said in my engine advert that I'm keeping them.

The twin turbo kit still seems the best bet, as you say, just lay off the boost . . . . plus the increase in weight with the turbos will be off-set by the ally heads.

55starchief

Ok checked with dwain last night and the cam does have the drive Also hadnt realised titsy had a spare ecm for the LT1, this would definatly be the better way to go with the turbo and give you the fuel economy as well. Would need to look at the loom but im pretty sure it wouldnt be that hard

Not keen, TBH . . . . .

But I'll consider my options  . . . .

To be honest, I don't want it to sound like a '93 LT-1.

'Cos, going by Titsy's, they sound lame.

They perform, yes, but sound wet.

Hence I was thinking Carb it and keep the exhaust free and short . . . . . Dunno how F.I and an ECU would work with little / no baffling.

Not gonna bother it seeing as we can hack the ecm. You have to remember that titsys car has all the cats and shit left in the system. There are plenty of moder hotrods running LT and LS motors that sound cool as hell

Roadkill

It will save me some $$$ on the manifold.

I'm still gonna be keeping my HEI dizzy and Carb for now, though . . . .

55starchief

Well look what some nice man has done

All we would need to know to hook up the EFI equiped motor to your car

Lots of sparky talk there, my brain switched off after the first sentence . . . .

this is the only important part, nothing more than connecting a few wires to the ignition switch and adding a few fuses

***Here are the essential MINIMUMS you need to get it running****************

1.    C210 pin C, ORANGE - battery feed to PCM, 10 amp fused

2.    3 eye-let connectors in harness near coil/module connector, engine block (ground), also 2 grounds near starter (black/white stripe)

3.    C100 pin F, BRN - key 12v+ feed to EVAP, EGR solenoids, book shows 10amp fused  - ONLY NEEDED FOR EMISSIONS

4.    C230 pin G, PINK - key 12v+ feed to PCM

5.    C100 pin A, PINK - key 12v+ feed to Injectors 2,4,6,8  7.5amp
      C100 pin K, PINK - key 12v+ feed to Injectors 1,3,5,7  7.5amp

6.    C100 pin G, PINK - key 12v+ feed to Coil, Ignition Module 10 amp

7.    C220 pin J, Dk Green/White - fuel pump relay control 12v+ connect to one side of relay coil, other side to ground, then wire up your fuel pump with   say 15 amp fuse.

8.    C230 pin E, dk blue - fuel enable signal - hack stock module or build a unit to defeat it, see my website http://www.lt1swap.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">www.lt1swap.com for info, or have chip modified to delete this option.

that should be it to get it fired up. then you can mess with ses light, cooling fans.

Pah, that's not hardcore.  Just remove the bulb, job done.

Roadkill

O.K.  According to http://www.geocities.com/texaslt1/lt1swap/swap.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">www.geocities.com/texaslt1/lt1swap/swap.html the motor mounts are the same.

They don't look the same to me but it was dark and they were covered in electrical cr@p and other random "hangy bits".

I'm still keeping the 305ci mounts, though.

It mentions the delete pulley (I'll be hunting for this soon).

It also mentions alot of hoses which need to be kept but doesn't seem to go into much detail . . .

Ceramic coated . . . So they won't rust (that irritates me about mine).
