That's made by one of the guys who comes to our meet, did the 12 hour lawn mower race with him last year. (For Motorama, Steve who has the Ford Dayvan that's not too well at the moment.)

Steve was explaining it to me at the meet. It was a fully working Coutax (sp) lawnmower. They stretched the frame, lowered it and put a Kawasaki engine in it. The running gear is all standard for a lawnmower.

I don't know if it would be the same as BLMRA rules where the blades have to be removed for the event but it does have to be able to cut grass.

I also think he said the front wheels are off a caravan. That immediately started playing images of Richard Hammond and the Vampire car where they used second hand Nascar tyres...

As part of the rules, they have to cut grass before (and after iirc) the race.  I watched the video :)
