£795 is how can I say ambitious

daveyboy

cracking little bikes and utterly reliable.

but it aint no norton
sorry , cant help be a pi$$ taker

i had its big brother, cbr1000 with the newer body work and just like the 600 they go on forever.  what else can you buy that will be as quick, cheap to run and can still handle. nothing not even a norton.

early cbrs are ace.

if someone pays 600 for it they will be a  happy bunny

EDGE

yup, about a 20 min walk from home. I like the commute, but even on the bike, fuel costs were becoming a joke. plus i get a lot more time in bed in the mornings

desk job, so shirt and tie, 9 - 5, finish at 4 on fridays, and no saturdays.

sold on ebay for £561. not great money, but not too bad either, guy paid up right away and collected it pleased as punch today.

in 20,000 miles and 18 months and 1 crash, it lost just £139!

Congrats Phil!

Seriously, you had often mentioned wanting a 9-5 desk job as opposed to machining so I'm well pleased for you!

the best bit aside from the clean environment, masses of bonuses etc, and incentives (regular meals out etc) is of course progression. where I was, money had peaked. where I am, it can only go up, as I am on the entry grade - it already matches my overtime rate.

to get said overtime rate, i was doing 52.5 hours per week, I am now doing 36.5

the life / work balance has therefore swung considerably.

And my boss drives an Alfa... AND.... its not as good as mine
