I'd have a diesel one

The Diesels are utterly awful !

I wouldn't unless you like half the power of the 4.0l petrol, and less torque, with virtually the same fuel consumption, and much more noise.

£350

That's a lot of metal for the money

How long is the MOT ?

F Body

210mm x 297mm

New or old MOT

Old style MOT = 152mm wide x 204mm long.

New style MOT = 210mm wide x 298mm long

NB : I had my three Camaro record books to hand in the kitchen

No MoT but has done minimal mileage since last one . . . . did I mention that it appears to have about 85% service history ?

No you didn't

I'm assuming it's done a few miles

Roadkill

135,000 . . . Not bad for a 17 year-old !

Got solid history up to 95,000 (IIRC) then again at 105,000 and at 125,000 (again, IIRC).

ok ok you got me.. I was sat at my desk, and all I had to hand was a sheet of A4 paper and a rule!

i wouldnt, unless you like doing head gaskets

Indeed, does each cylinder have its own individual head?

I don't want one anymore.

The MKB . . . education at its finest.

My dad had an N reg, 80,000 (I think) on the clock, he was the second owner and owned it since it was 8 months old. £500 it's going for, I believe V8MAD0 still has it for sale as my dad isn't a salesman. Bull bars etc too with the 4.0 petrol. I believe it MOT and Tax too.

Pretty poor MPG, Awesome power and great ride.
And no, I wouldn't but the Diesel either

He has no bought an 06 plate Overland (?) model Grand Cherokee as it's replacement.

HardRockCamaro

I love the look of those 06 on Grand Cherokee's.  The Overland has absolutely *everything* in it iirc.

It does, including suede seats, I should know as I am driving it all this week as a weeks insurance deal

philoldsmobile

one thing the yanks do still know how to build is big SUV's! I'm a big fan of jeep cherokees.

mind you, its obvious they should be good at it, American engineering is all about big bold chunky and simple - everything an SUV should be. lots of grunt, lots of room, simple and reliable.

I'm liking the look of the forthcoming Grand Cherokee:

I prefer the model my dad has bought, especially the front end

Yeah that's the one I rented in Washington.

I prefer the front of the new one, but the back of the old one...

Very "solid" looking.

philoldsmobile

exterior looks very good, but looks rather 'car like' inside. I like SUV's to be SUV's not tall cars.

i think its nice inside

Andy

I would put money on half if not more than all SUV's like the Cherokee never see proper off roading. They're so much of a status symbol most will be aiming at that upper middle class bracket who want a Sherman to ferry Little Johnny to boarding school.

Fair play to them for supplying to the market. That's not an offroader though, it just looks like one. The X series that BMW put out are the same.
