Anyone going?

Guv'nor just emailed me the link and it looks like a good show, will be on for photographers at least. Anybody from here going along. I think it's all still conformist stuff, nothing younger than 1972 but some of those hot rods etc, are worth a punt.

The price for the weekend to non-members is £45 and thats the gate price for Saturday too!

Sunday when they allow us newbies in is a reasonable £8

Info from the page:

Sunday Public admission:

Adult £8
Child aged 5 to 16 £4
Family (2 adults + 2 children) £20

Public gate opens 10 am on Sunday.
Single day admission is available for Sunday only.

Sunday details:

Sunday show field gate opens at 9 am.
Qualifying cars for the Sunday show field: Pre-1972 body style cars only - rods, customs, and classic American cars.
Sunday-only entry for show field cars is £5 per person.

To celebrate the 55th birthday of the '55 Chevy, entry is free for all '55 Chevy drivers on Sunday only. Trophy for the best '55.

Prize giving will be held at 3-4 pm.

Roadkill

It'll be the Caddy's final outting for a year or so, so i'm considering going . . . plus I haven't done a show this year, yet, and probably won't do another in a hurry.

Andy

We're going so long as the weathers nice and I guess we'll be leaving the Camaro in the car park.

Nope.

Could do with saving the cash.

The Caddy will just have to go away quietly.

Andy

Awesome awesome show! Awesome, Roadhouse etc...

Weather was looking a lil dodgy on the way there, but my god did it turn out nice.

Filled the show field and ended up parking motors up behind the traders as there were so many. Only £8, an absolute bargin for what it is.

Didn't take many photos, made a newbie mistake of thinking I had charged up my batteries...

Pics to follow shortly

Andy

Just to add, both the 2nd Gen and 1st gen Camaro's were running +500Ci and both with efi by the looks of it.

The RS was my car of the show. But then I'm into the 'modern' stuff by their standards!

Rocky

Havnt seen that 2nd gen in years looks like a good turn out.

Andy

Rocky, whats the deal with that setup on the 2nd gen, are they individual throttle bodies? Was looking around it and couldn't work out exactly what was going on.

Both of them were very nice. The 1st gen was so perfect, it was just beautiful. The guy/girl must've been a machinist or know someone, as the bonnet linkage and arms were all CNC'd billet, as well as all the alternator brakets and pulleys. Really nice to see where some people put in so much effort, and the idea of sticking a modern engine in a classic...

Rocky

The 2nd gen was in a mag quite a few years ago will try and dig it out.
Looks like the first gen is sporting Ring Brothers hood hinges or similar.
Im wanting to do that for the 3rd gens but need to get someone to CNC the bits up.

Motorama

was speaking to the owner of the 1st Gen at the KK donut meet a couple of months ago. There's over £60k in that car

Not surprised, it was just perfect, totally worth it in my opinion if thats the quality you get!
