Just got back from a really good day out at the Silverstone VXR event

Excellent day thrashing Vauxhall VXR's around the Silverstone Circuit :

Out with a Touring Car driver 1st for a few sighting laps :

Then let loose in the 321bhp VXR Insignia :

I was glad of the 4 wheel drive in the wet

The VXR Astra Nurburgring was dam quick, I was hitting just shy of 140mph on the back of Hanger Straight. But the most fun of the day was drifting the VXR Insignia at 85mph sideways through Becketts

Also went Karting with Senior F Body Kid and her Boyfriend :

Didn't win but came a solid 2nd :

looks fun. the insignia VXR seems to get reviewed well, but it just looks so bland to me. mind you, I have a definite anti vauxhall bias, the last decent car they built in my eyes was the cavalier, and the last truly interesting cars they built were the Seanator 24v, lotus carlton, and opel monza GSE

OOOOOOOOHHHHH You said Lotus Carlton....

What no VXR8????????????????????

What no VXR8????????????????????

There were a couple of privately owned VXR8 out on track, a black VXR8 was supercharged
Should have heard the charger whine as it obliterated the cooking VRX8's

i'd have the monaro before a VXR8, i dunno, the VXR just doesn't float my boat at all..

plus its not really a vauxhall at all. - ok the monza was an opel, but vauxhalls are really opels, so it counts..
