64 was the first year for GTO and is considered by many to be the first real muscle car. Tri Power, three two barrels, was an option on GTO's 389ci motor, with GTO being an option package on a Le Mans Coupes and 'verts.

Thanks Motorama, I knew I'd get something from you

Thats what I'm looking at with a rare two speed box, in good nick. Haven't been told a price yet but will let you all know. Lovely looking car with a boot big enough to take 3-4 bodies at a time

Le Mans body means its a mid size car so not huge, i always think 64's are a bit plain looking preferring the 65 to 68 shape with the stacked headlights but they are sought after being the first year. Andy Craig, ex Classic American staffer has a very nic 65 with tri power

 Looks a good price for a #'s matching car.

I do agree stacked lights are better looking ( or am I biased )

Looks like the Catalina we had the pleasure of nursing / bodging across America in '08.

<shudder>

Looks like a decent survivor car, probably worth more in the States than it is here

But at least it had shiny wheels.... these are the things that matter
