My brother has talked about this when he's been in America at this time of year, but I've never heard of it over here.

Some pretty good deals on this week too...

Gotta be quick though!  Stuff is going within seconds of being available.

Keeping my eye out for a Kindle
Wishful thinking I know.

There's some Macs at some reasonable prices.....

Going to keep an eye today, many thanks for letting us know

Fieldy

Kindle is at £109.... That seems the standard price to me TBH right now?

If I see it cheaper, I will let you know

Yeah.  Keeping an eye out as well.  I'll probably wait till the "January" sales, before the Tax goes up.

The Amazon thing is flawed.

The countdown clock is based on your PC clock.  Although it does have periodic resets, I was able to get the order button to appear on the TV that's not due to 18:00 tonight.  It didn't let me actually place the bid, so I guess the actual bidding is controlled by the server time.

However, this means that someone with a PC clock ahead of others will see the button and be able to make a valid claim earlier

It'll still be a lottery though

As soon as it does clear, you press 'add to basket', it refreshes, says sold out then nothing in the basket....

Andy

It's been pretty frantic on there! Apparently made it into the news about it being so difficult to actually buy anything. Bet their sales figures have gone through the roof.

Cunning Plan

I watched the Kodak Wireless Printer they had on there today, I was thinking of buying it and watched out of interest to see how fast the percentage 'sold' went up by. I was expecting 10%, 60%, SOLD OUT or something, but after 8 'my Mac clock seconds' they were all gone

Anybody looking at getting anything from the Apple shop tomorrow? Been pondering Apple TV as I have a few films, and with iOS 4.2 coming out and airplay, could be useful in the living room.

Also, bit o/t but then on topic as well. Anyone recommend a wireless printer? Preferably on that works with AirPrint?

I've been looking at MBP 13" for a while.. Depending what price they reduce those to (that's if they are reducing the MB range) I may buy..

Prices are up CP!

£81 off a MBP, bow it's a case of do you want to wait for January sales or go for it now. Bare in mind VAT goes up on the 1st

Andy

£918 is actually damn good price by the looks of it!

Andy

iMac for the same price too if you wanted a desktop...

Cunning Plan

Hmm.. my girlfriend gets NUS student discount and can get a 13" for £814, I was hoping it would be even less than that, guess I'll just have to get one on her NUS card..

Wrong thread dude....

The Apple sale is shit

Andy

Would be awesome if they'd extended it to iTunes, couple of films on their I wouldn't mind getting but am just being too tight to spend money on them.
