Suppose it depends on how many people turn up, i.e there might be too many and what speed limit they put in on the day

Roadkill

If the Camaro's done () I'll be interested.

He's hoping to get quite a few but who knows how many will turn up and i think he is looking at doing a sort of one day Meet/show as well

I have suggested a few things like doing the tunnel in both directions and then going to where they hold a classic car show once a year that's just off the A3 south bound at the deers hut pub

It Should be the national speed limit for a duel carriageway    (probably be loads of coppers with speed guns to try and boost the Governments pockets

We have a dual carriage with a central reservation between Luton & Dunstable which last year they reduced to 30mph, enforced by Camera's

If you go to Stockport in Cheshire the main dual carriageway leading to the towns biggest retail parks is an average speed camera enforced 20mph

That's so stupid is there a school on that route That,s the only place I would expect to see 20mph limits Or possibly the only other place's would be pedestrian high streets like up Guildford that's open to traffic weekdays or around hospitals and housing estates...but not expected to see on a main dual carriageway

First views of the nearly completed longest UK road tunnel :

It will sound good with some V8 bass bouncing off the walls

From the DOT website :

The A3 Hindhead Tunnel Southbound will open to traffic on Wednesday 27 July 2011. Secretary of State for Transport, Philip Hammond, will open the tunnel. Southbound traffic will be the first to use the tunnel, with northbound traffic being introduced to the new road a few days later.

Apparently the A3 one is set at national speed limit as standard but can also be set to anywhere between 40mph and 70mph depending on whats happening in the tunnel  But its not all fun as they have those nasty variable speed cameras along it

I went through the south bound tunnel 20 minuets after it was opened and the speed was set at 40mph through the tunnel so that what I did BUT I was passed by a builders merchant lorry like I was going backward SO I guess he wanted to be the first person to get a speeding fine in the new route LOL

Fieldy

Those variable speed limit cameras are Bull Sh1t, the M25 has had them for years around the Heathrow junctions, I worked there for years, often commuting from Woking at around 90, never got done...

M4 tunnel when arriving in Wales is a 70....

Edit: so is the Dartford tunnel between Essex & Kent
