No cambelt on Mondy's.  It's a chain, IIRC.

Can't see the link (dead).

If it's a diesel try to check both hot and cold starting - there's known issues re the starter/DMF and other bits that can show that way.

Definitely take it for a drive !

there are many pages written about the injectors in TDCi's too.... if they fail, its more economical to scrap the car.

IIRC, they're £160 a piece - so the car would have to be pretty sh!t to not to be able to justify fixing it for that.

I believe you can have them refurb'ed for much less than that, too.
