feck this is throbbin...

i was diggin up a rather small tree tonite,
and using an all steel posting spade to chip away the clay around the roots ,
around 600mm below the shrub..
when the spade decided to throw itself against the tree, but my likkle pinkie jumped in to take the strike...

i nearly swore...



it looks worse in the pic.....that it really is

I remember Dad trying that on a Pyracantha in the back garden with his Audi 100 (brand new at the time)...didn't budge an inch.

Tied it to the old VW camper van (1.6 ltr I believe) no problem.

it dragged the car sideways but gave up with a few[around 20] gentle tugs from i.5 tonnes of audi...

the 1st one was damaging the wall has been there around 30yrs,and was 16 ft tall last year...
