A lot of well established importers have gone to the wall in the last two years

Dear Customers , Suppliers, Loyal Supporters and Friends Of Atlantic Sports Cars.

It is with great sadness that I have to report that I am closing the Luton Showroom with immediate effect after 7 years of trading. The Edinburgh showroom will continue trading as normal. As some of you will know I have personally been trying to move back to Edinburgh but have had problems with sales managers over the last year. Firstly I was meant to move to Edinburgh at Christmas but Simon Turner and I parted company two weeks before I moved. I then took on Paul Mitcham in February to run Atlantic with a view to moving home to Edinburgh after the Luton BBQ at the end of July. Paul regrettably told me two days later that he had been offered and accepted another job out with the car business starting in September. This left me with a predicament as for the last 2 years I have been trying to move back to Edinburgh to get involved in my father's companies and ultimately help him retire in due course.

For those that know me personally you will know that I live and breath Atlantic Sports Cars and it means the world to me. My heart though is in Scotland as well as my friends and family. I am 35 not married and have put my life on hold for the past 7 years working 95% of weekends for 5 years and not taking any holidays to build the company. I am very passionate about Atlantic Sports Cars and it breaks my heart having to do this but I have responsibilities in Scotland that I can't put on hold any longer and I need to personally move on with my own life.

Atlantic Sports Cars will continue trading as normal (Sales, Service and Parts) from the Edinburgh Showroom and all warranties will continue to be honored either in Edinburgh or in Luton. Dave Knight who has worked for me in Luton for 7 years will be continuing with the auto electrics from his workshop unit in Luton. He will be setting the ramp up in his workshop unit so we can continue to do servicing and warranty work from there with our current mechanics. We will advice on phone numbers once available. Dave will also be buying cars on my behalf and shipping up to Scotland.

I hope that my reputation in the American car business proceeds me and that my many loyal customers and new customers will continue to buy from Mike Allan (Sales Manager) and I in Edinburgh. The showroom is 5 min's from Edinburgh airport and easy jet has regular cheap flights all over the UK and we would be happy to discount any car by the value of these flights if you buy a vehicle ! You could come up and down in a morning or afternoon or stay in Edinburgh and enjoy a weekend break. Dave Knight will also be doing handovers of vehicles for me in Luton so my southern customers do not need to travel north to collect there cars if they so require.

I look forward to hearing from you all in the future and hope that we can continue to do business.

Best Regards

HardRockCamaro

Best of luck to him.

Thought he seemed very nice to deal with unlike 99% of car dealers on the one short visit I made to the Luton branch some years ago.

If I had the wedge to buy a new Camaro or CTSV or whatever I'd be getting it through him...

F Body

Good news at least he still has the Edinburgh set up

He still owns the unit in Luton just renting it out...... May be back in a few years....
