Hi all,

After what seems an age over winter, we're kicking off the South Bucks meet again in April.

Same format as last year, 2nd Tuesday of each month, from around 7pm till late or it gets too dark.

All welcome, American, British, Hot Rod, VW bikes etc. Anyone who is a petrolhead basically.

Meeting at the same pub, The Harte and Magpies, situated between Beaconsfield and Amersham on the A305. The landlord has done us a huge favour with extended the car park area for more cars, although this is grass and subject to how daring you are to park on it.

Meets this year are:

http://www.facebook.com/events/169930509827853/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Tuesday 9th April
Tuesday 14th May
Tuesday 11th June
Tuesday 9th July
Tuesday 13th August
Tuesday 10th September
Tuesday 8th October

As ever, weather pays a huge part, but come rain or shine often a few cars turn up.

The meet also has its own http://www.facebook.com/SBCCBM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Facebook Page Here which also pushes out messages for other shows and meets in the area.

Look forward to seeing some of you there!

Andy

Roadkill

Good luck with it !

Would be good to come over again but TBH we'll be limited with the little'un as he can't go in either the Camaro or the Cadillac.

Not much point showing up in a Mondeo is there ?

Motorama

Looking forward to it starting again, its been a long winter.

No shame in coming over in the daily RK, be nice to see you

I will probably Tax the Mustang soon though probably not before the April meet....unless the Chancellor is planning any major increases.

Andy

RK, nowt wrong with coming in a Mondeo! Pub is open as usual so we do end up with lots of people turning up in 'normal' cars. Adds a bit of entertainment when watching them take far more effort than normal backing into a space!

Chris - get it on the road! Often have a fair few of the Mustang guys show up, so you won't be alone.

Getting a fair few number of enquiries about it already which is good, just hope the weather picks up for it!

I will it's just that this month has been expensive, what with the Mondeo repairs, an upcoming holiday and I paid my Gym subscription up front (12 month for the price of 10).

I'll see what the balance sheet looks like when I get back off hols but probably wont tax her till May.

Might turn up in the Mondeo if the weathers nice though

Andy

Bumpity bump!

Tomorrow night guys, if any of you can spare the evening, the May event is on.

Sorry F-body, I know I should give you more notification but I blooming forgot till this morning!

Last months meet was fairly quiet but still had some die hardship turn out. Looking forward to the warmer weather and lighter nights.

See link at the top of the thread for details.

No problem, I worked late and the weather was dreadful anyway, what sort of turn out did you have

Andy

Friendly reminder that this meet is on again for June on Tuesday, all the details at the top.

Unlike last time, I won't format the memory card before I take the photos off

Andy

Nice little meet last night, some new and interesting cars rocked up too.

Dave was having a little issue with the Choke sticking open on the Mustang so we did a little investigation when we got that, amazing how instantly people swarm a car as soon as the bonnet gets popped!

The last one is a new Jaguar F-Type that I saw go steaming past earlier, had a new BMW M-something giving them grief. They ended up 'losing' them and decided to pop in a see what it was all about. Apparently a works car but still absolutely stunning.

Thats all till July where we hope the weather will be just a little warmer

If that ends in HMD it's a Pilot Production fleet car... not the V8 but still awesome...I'm sure it was signed out over night for "testing" purposes

Love the Olds 442

Andy

Yep, that's the one. I thought it was something like a work horse. The tyres all have 'RR', 'RF', 'LF' and 'LR' on their respective sides, as well as some measurements written above each wheel arch.

They seemed to be having fun though!

The 442 was beautiful, first time I've seen it but a very nice car and sounded brutal!

Motorama

Typical, i live 5 miles away and it was pissing down at 7.30 pm so i gave it a miss, looks dry and bright in your pics

Andy

Exactly what Rich said, he said it looked miserable where he was but was going to chance it, was actually a very lovely evening. Almost t-shirt weather but I've got to admit even at 7pm I had my doubts.

Btw Andy, that C10 looks sweet! If you still have it in July, would love a look around it!

Motorama

Wish id have come up now, would have been in the 55 Chevy, its at home as ive been prepping it for the Vasteras trip

Truck is pretty cool, was a bit of a beater thats had a blow over in Burnt Orange and White. Has a 350 with ali heads, pretty lively.

Andy

I do really like it! Even for a beater still looks bloody good!

You'll have to tell me all about Sweden again in July I think we're definitely owed some nicer weather by then!

Andy

Well this weeks meet came around rather quick, but thanks to the fantastic weather, the cars came out!

FOR SALE

Roadkill

Nice array of cars.

How much does the person want for their RS ???

art b

yup a great range of stuff....

great piccys too....
This forum needs, ''YOU'' posting,Not just reading ! :moon:

Andy

£2950 for the RS, was gonna put a little thread together for it later.

Loving the mixture we're getting now. With no affiliation to clubs, makes or age means that you do just get people who like to show their cars off. Thankfully we've not had any people that give the hobby a bad name. We also have a lot of passing trade from the main road, people drive past, see the cars do a u-turn and either slowly drive thru or as a few did, stop and have a drink. Win win for the meet and pub!

 Swap for a V6 Mustang?

Andy

Bumpity bump bump!

Only a couple of weeks away! Praying for great weather again like this month, hard to see how we'll top it, but we'll give it a go anyway!

Andy

In case any of you guys are interested, the V8UK guys are planning a convoy from the Aylesbury area, once I get some more details ill post them up here!

Motorama

Looks like you've amalgamated the meet with the Pistonheads crowd, lol

Andy

It has gone that way a bit, but the classics and yanks still over rule them.

I sent the guy who asked to bring some tvr guys along that everyone is welcome as long as nothing stupid happens. That said I still think the daftest thing done was by the guy in the 2nd gen Camaro who saw fit to do a stationary burnout on a blind bend. Thankfully we haven't seen him recently.
