Impromptue LAN weekend?

My Folks are going on holiday in May and (although I haven't mentioned thi to them yet) I was wondering if people fancy a sort of LAN /film/BBQ weekend over the 11th / 12th May?

This would be at their house not mine so the net connection is ok and there's the Garden for the Dog and to have a BBQ on the Saturday night.

It would be a Late start friday because of the short notice and nobody having the time off etc.

what do you think?  I can probably wangle this seeing as i'm dog-sitting for 2 weeks if ppl are interested.

Could do,  we're away on holiday the week before mon -> fri so wouldn't be around till the saturday morn' - might it be worth just doing a bbq on sat eve and a movie afternoon / evening ??

I think we'll just do an afternoon BBQ / films etc on this saturday.  I've checked with the folks and they're happy, so if you can make it stick it in your diaries & i'll check times etc closer to the day when we know the weather forecast.

we can leave it "open" if you like until the weather forecasts come in, if its Rain & Thunderstruck , LAN. And if its Sun, Beers 'n' BBQ + Films

We're already committed to a birthday party on Saturday, and have Jackie's sister, boyfriend and his daughter visiting on the Sunday. But might try and drop round Friday evening to catch up with people...

I am organising a Gathering on Saturday 11th May definately, whether we have a sort of mini LAN for the weekend depends on the weather really,  if its like it is at the moment then we will have an afternoon BBQ in the sun, a nice chill-out and watch some films etc in the evening.

If its crap we'll have a Mini-LAN fest.

Jo, of course you 2 are very welcome to stay over saturday night regardless.

As it stands, given the circumstances we will definately not be having a LAN this weekend.  Also the weather reports for Saturday are not good at all with rain & high winds forecast so I'm going to cancel the afternoon BBQ plans as well.

If anyone fancies coming over to watch a film or 2 we can still do that but it may as well be at mine rather than the folks place and we could get some Pizzas in or something?

Sammy & Dean have kindly offered to bring me and Mum round to this, however would it be poss to have it at your Mum's as not too sure how I'd get on with you stairs (sorry )
