Cheap???

The VW shows are usually £15 on the gate on the day and I've always thought they were £5-10 too expensive!
1968 VW T2 Bay Bus (currently being restored and upgraded)
1999 Jeep Cherokee XJ (modern classic daily driver)

Andy

I have to say this is bloody cheap, but then I'm happy paying the Main Event prices for Top Fuel action any day. Not to mention live action arena, free pit access etc. Put that into context, Goodwood FOS - £57 for a day! You only see the car as it goes past.

Dragstalgia is a great show, missed last year as it clashed with a family do, but the best show to see how it used to be! Will be there for sure!

£17 - Bargin for what you get!

Advanced ticket sales have now stopped they stop 5 days before the event, so all tickets now cost £17, if you book online it's £15 a ticket with a £4 booking fee or on the gate on the day for £17.

We have tickets booked for Sat

Incursus

Gonna be busy with stripping out the old kitchen and various birthday parties.

Roadkill

Am considering taking Jensen on the Saturday . . He's free and Sammy's working so it'll be pretty cheap for me.

Will need to find some money from somewhere, first, though.

Such a shame, but understand.

Andy

What a really awesome day today!

Got some pretty decent photos but ran out of battery half way through the day. Also caught the sun real bad! Pod face big time!

Roadkill

Yeah, I cooked yesterday but managed to avoid burning.  First time watching drag racing in just under 10 years !

Enjoyed it, though.  Jensen loved it, too.  Am considering the main event but think that might be too loud for Jensen.

It was rather hot, we managed to avoid burning too  Did you see the Spitfire that flew over?

Yup, completely unannounced but thankfully we just happened to be near the fence and out in the open so got a good look.

I left the program in the car as I wanted to travel light.

Andy

That flew over just as we were leaving, at around 4pm. The guy next to me was adamant it was a Hurricane, then it did a really nice slow barrel roll showing off the distinctive wings! I'm still not sure if that was planned or not?

Jo, I thought you were going Saturday?

Roadkill

I thought the plan was to have the Spitfire Saturday and Hurricane AND Spitfire Sunday ?

Didn't see Jo or Paul on Saturday . . . I got there around 11.30am and left at about 5.15pm.

Wanted to stay a bit longer but little man was cranky !

Andy

Ohh, I thought you guys were on about yesterday as there was a solo Spitfire fly over, didn't seem to be expected by anyone!

We got there at 10.30am on Sat and left at 4pm (as I had to be home for a girly night out)   It was def a spitfire solo and completly unannounced judging by the reaction of the crowd, we were Sat in the stands up top when it went over.

Roadkill

It was in the program . . . I think . . . I read it somewhere anyway !

Lol we didn't have a program, so that'll be why it was a suprize

Roadkill

Didn't they give you one on the gate ?

I feel special now.
