What a fantastic evening, dry and light, just ever so slightly nippy!

This year I've taken over promoting the event via the wonders of Facebook and forums so there were a few new people along who all wanted to say hi.

This forum needs, ''YOU'' posting,Not just reading ! :moon:

Andy

That would be amazing if ya did Art! It's a cracking meet during the summer, often end up filling the reserve grass car park!

We ended up having to put the WI meeting in there last night when they turned up...

Good turnout for a chilly April evening, nice mix of cars, I normally find it hard to get excited about modern BMWs if I'm honest but that 5 series went up the road like a scalded cat and sounded strong. Looking forward to the next one, fair play to you Andy for keeping up the promotion side of it, its a good little meet.

And I so wanted Dave's Chevy truck!

Andy

Very impressed with the turnout! I have to admit out of the number of people who I spoke to a fair few are simply through the Facebook page, either by randomly finding it, or a friend of a friend liking the page or photos from it.

There is a lot to be gained from the social networks I tell ya!

That truck was amazing! I can't believe he lives let than 2 miles up the road from me!

Indeed, hopefully the day won't come where you couldn't give a $hit, like me.

Our meets used to be big (it's why we re-located twice) . . . but gradually they died-off.  You've gotta keep the work up . . . if you can and want to, of course.

Andy

I've been messaged in the last couple of days about a new meet starting up at a pub in Milton Keynes, the Prince Charles? I think.

Thats the one! Prince George! Only just opened or something, can't remember where I heard it, but it will be a week night meet similar to this one.

Ralph

That 3100 was to die for! Proper nice bit of kit that!!

Milton Keynes meet would suit me, what sort of meet they thinking and where is the pub?

Tickets arrives today, we'll probably go straight there on Sunday as it's a bit closer to us than Towcester.

NEW VENUE FOR MK.USA MEETINGS

After eighteen months of regular monthly gatherings in the Toby Inn, the MK.USA group are delighted to announce that we have a new venue! As from the May 2014 meeting, we will be gathering at the Prince George on Portishead Drive, Tattenhoe, Milton Keynes MK4 3FA.

A brand new establishment owned and run by McMullens Breweries, the Prince George only opened in February. It offers a good range of beers (essential), excellent fresh-cooked food (highly recommended) and a pleasant atmosphere, presided over by friendly and welcoming management and staff. I know, I've been to try it out! Like most places in Milton Keynes, it is quite easy to find given the New City's US-style grid road layout: Portishead Drive turns off from the H7 Chaffron Way grid road, just west of the roundabout junction with the V2 Tattenhoe Street. If you're a satnav user, MK4 3FA will get you there!

We are a non-sectarian group - we don't care which car club you belong to, or if you don't belong to any. We're happy to welcome anyone with an interest in US, Canadian or Australian cars, owners or not - just come and join us! You can call me on 07792-497116 for directions or more information. Our first night at the Prince George will be Wednesday May 14th, from 7 pm on - come and say hello!
