After Friday nights heavy rain Saturday was drying out nicely, however it was forecast to rain again tonight
However the current weather forecast now says dry through the night and a sunny Sunday morning 6c with moderate winds

If it drys out enough the Camaro will get her first run of 2014, don't waste this chance because the next month is still forecast as very wet

Andy

Don't think I haven't already taken advantage of the dry weather today for a good blast out in the car. I did come up against a good 6" deep ford which I decided to turn around rather than go through.

Anyway, tomorrow I'm looking at giving her a good clean before taking her into the paint shop on Monday for the nose respray...

The F Body has been exercised :

She really needs to go to an owner who will actually use it, rather than me just driving for it's own exercise

Well what a pleasant change in the weather this weekend after the wettest January on record
Always good to get some petrol back into the veins and the dogs enjoyed the sunshine too

Oh and Happy Groundhog day !

What a great day it was for a drive!

Ended up getting up pretty early and giving it a good wash down and wax. Also gave me a chance to really see if my work had fixed the leak... kinda. Much better than before, but still coming in down the door car.

Anyway:

And a bit arty...

Also Martyn, erm, you got a lower gearing than me?

The 460le in the Z28 is a four speed ?

Andy

700R4 here, which I think has the same as a 460LE, whats your rear end?

That's a bit personal

Think it's a  2.73

Andy

Hmm, same as mine... hmmm

From LS1 Tech :

"if you cruise at 60 mph right around 2000 rpms give or take 50 rpms or so, you have the 3:23's. If you have incredibly low rpms at this speed, then you have 2:73's. "

NB: Can't check my VIN details on my new laptop

Hmmm! Just consulted my RPO code decoder again. I swear when I last looked up 'GU4' it classed it as 2.73 gears, yet, just now... 3.08

Incursus

Put up a couple of shelves, went to a wedding fair and ring shopping...

The closest I got to the Mustang was putting the car cover back on after it blew off... I'm so rock and roll man!

To be fair it's not Taxed

Andy

Dragged the car into work today to hand over the keys to the paint guys at the end of the road.

Nothing sweeter than rolling down the windows after just doing the weather strip and seeing all the rain get swept off. Call me sad but it's nice to have made something better on this car.

Your oil pressure is high?!

Too high?

The 400 is in KPa which equals about 60psi. Would've said that was fairly healthy and I like to see it up there if I'm honest! It drops down to about 200 KPa after a good half out at idle, but anything else and its up there. Thats using 5-30W Semi as I couldn't find Mineral anywhere at a reasonable price.

Ah, so that is starting cold and within the first few minutes of running?

Does anyone else's Camero run that high?

Yes mine is at least 3/4 up the gauge when cold and about half way when warm.

Mine is always pinging the needle when I'm on the throttle or its off idle. Only when idling and warm does it drop.

I thought that good?!

Don't make me worry!

Andy

Thanks Fubes

Wish the car park had been empty but that'll do
