and further to my luck this week

The astro stereo started playing up at bling..

every now and then, the sound would cut out, then come back. going to work on monday, the radio crackled, then smoke came out of the CD slot..

what had happend was the van has had a pretty major sound system n it at some point, and when it was removed, they just cut the wires for the rear speakers. as the stereo is on an iso connector, these were still connected, and were shorting out on something, and toasted the amp in the stereo

£110 and a new pioneer MP3 player later (and the rear speaker wires disconnected)  we are back on form again..

not really..

his month is gonna cost me about a grand in car expense alone...

cant complain though, the camaor has been absolutely 100% fault free for about 2 years, so you cant really quibble for a 20 year old sports car with a slighlty finicky reputation..

plus it looks like it may have been a stone that damaged the rad..

owch thats not cheap - but hey just hink of this - its proably cheaper than our upkeep on vechiles!!!
