for uber uber budget stuff, i bought a set of victor spanners (£3.99 for a set of metric up to 17mm from hellfrauds again) and to be fair, they aren't that bad.

i just wanted the cheapest spanners i could buy because all of mine are at work.. i got the metric and imperial sets - both 3.99 a set, and just use them for changing oil etc..

not rounded anything off, and haven't left any marks on the sump plug yet, so fine for that sort of use.. above that, i honestly truly recomend halfords professional - just under£30 gets a set of excelent quality spanners. most other tools available as either sets or individual.

have you seen that set that Fubar has? excelent value for good quality tools, plus if you do break one, there is always a halfords somewhere close, far easier than trying to find a tool van..

Yeah . . . I know.

I'll be gradually replacing my screwdrivers/sockets/etc . . . . Christmas and birthday presents for the next 10 years !!!

even more reason to go with the hellfrauds stuff then, no one can claim they didn't know where to get them!!

I do have a couple (ie. two) Hellfrauds Pro spanners.

I love 'em, but as the only decent tools I have left are my Britool spanners, this makes new ones bottom of my list.

My screwdriver selection, although very varied, is dismal and cheap.

halfords pro stuff includes (excelent) screwdrivers and alen keys etc.....
