Places to buy tools etc

Hiya,

Need to buy a couple of things and so far ain't had too much luck finding them. Anyone got any suggestions for finding:

A picking hammer
a body dolly
and a compressor

Based in woburn but can drive a reasonable distance.

I would try the local snapon/mac agent for the hammer and dolly and the local sealey or draper stockist for a compressor. If your gonna be spraying it will need to be a big compressor 200ltr plus

thanks, I'll have a look on the internet for the local dealers for the hammer and dolly. The compressor thing has been confusing me for a bit so I thought I go to a shop and get some advice and buy from them rather than go machine mart. Talked to a guy in an oxford garage about it who said you really need at least 20cfm to paint a car which makes buying pretty steep.

Yup and better add in a couple of hundred for a descent HVLP gun if you want a decent finish

on the compressor thing I'm pretty ignorant, might just end up doing the priming and surfacing and then trailering it off to a professional.

Cant seem to find any dealers for snap-on except the main base in Northants. Probably just being an idiot

Or you could try Pollards in Fenny Stratford, less than 10 miles away from you. If they don't have what you want they can get it, have catalogues in store from various suppliers. for dollies etc. May have compressor in stock

thanks for both those, will try pollards now. Went to ATM in Woburn sands this morning who order in both sealey and draper stuff and are due to call me back later, so hopefully am sorted.
