FUBAR

Right Guys...

I'm looking for a NOS Rear Bumper Emblem...  like this one below but in Silver with the Bowtie still in Red.

I don't think the silver / red ones are still avaliable from GM, Modern Day Muscle doesn't seem to stock them and there's none at all on ebay US.

Does anyone have any ideas?  Carl, is there anywhere local to you that might have some? or even One?

Your in risk of crossing that sad, thin line, there, Ryan . . . . Watch out  . . . Or you could end up like Martyn . . .  Worse maybe 'cos you'd have been infected earlier on in life.

Oh, God . . . Think of the Children !

Update.

The last week has been interesting, Jobs that have been done are:

Earlier:
Re-Greased all steering linkages
Fitted new RAD Cap (was a difficult one that!!)
Checked all fluid levels / quality, all of which were fine.

Friday:
Changed Oil & Filter
Checked & Bled the Brakes, apparantly they are the more modern crossover type so you only have to do the rears... always a bonus!

Yesterday:
Changed inner & outer window sweeps on both doors.
Changed Door Seals.  We'll see how long these last as it turns out they don't have the plastic reinforcers in the end mouldings which i'm not very happy about
Greased up window mechanisms.
Greased Door Hinges.
Checked & cleaned all other door related stuff which was accessible.

All in all its been a good week for the car just needs a clean ready for the show now
And as an Added Bonus the 5.7 TPI managed 27.66 MPG on the run down to Southampton & back over the weekend too which was nice

If its all greasy & manky anything with a GUNK label on it should do the trick, but I just use autoglym bits for cleaning.

Silicone spray will bring up all the hoses & plastics really nice too, there's loads of brands of that.

Well i've spent this evening under the car changing the Sparkplugs...

Coming home from London on saturday (as SOON as we dropped Andy off) the car started sounding really rough on & off, sometimes at idle, always under acceleration sometimes while cruising, so after narrowing it down to electrics extremely quickly tonights job was to change the plugs...

I did the whole lot from the underside with shiny new NGK's & it took 1hr 30 mins approx, not bad for a first time I think

So she's happily back on 8cylinders tonight & is nicely quicker too

2 of the champion plugs (cyl 2 & 3) were really badly fowled up, 1 totally closed so I reckon i've occasionally had 7 cylinders for a little while & not really noticed... dropping to a probable 6 was extremely noticable!!

Just seen this and realised i never did get round to cleaning the negine bay

FUBAR

OK, looking at my RPO codes today showed that on my sticker is "D88" which means "Stripe, Hood and Deck Lid"...

Did my car used to have stripes before it was sprayed?  does anyone know what this means? as I wasn't aware you could order stripes for the hood & deck lid in 1989???
