Are you getting any lovelies supplied to drape over your car ?

?

It's funny . . . I still don't think of Third Gens as "classics" . . . I think OLD when thinking classics . . . .

I guess anything younger then me isn't old in my books !

with the first thirdgens being in 82, that makes them 26 years old - for a car, that IS old..

Well, following Last Month's article I decided that it was now time to dismantle the car and fit these:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v223/ryanbudd/89%20IROC/ReplacementParts1.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">

Whilst this is the worst part of it its by no means beyond useless, and probably much better than someone elses T-Bar so i'm going to clean it up, treat it, POR15 it in areas where the seals are and stick it on Flebay... never know I might get a few ££ for it

The rest of the car however is reassuringly rust free, there is 1 'bad' section on the passenger side but this is purely surface and looks a lot better even now before treating.  Pics below taken after the old seals were removed and before any cleaning up work had commenced.

More pics will follow when more work is completed.

Cleaning up of Window edge Seal grip channels (off the car)
Cleaning up of roof surfaces and removal of all old bonding material
Re-newing some seam sealant
Treatment of Rust and Clear POR15 Paint on all 'Under-Seal' areas

Re-fitting everything all new & shiny

Headliner/Sail Panels/Sunvisors Recovering...

Guys just to double check before I go ahead with this... it is right to use Windscreen type sealant/adhesive to fix the weatherstrips to the car isn't it...
