Yep, got the weatherstripping finished on the IROC this afternoon

how did it go mate ? Phil said you had got softseal which can be hit or miss

Went fine, the passenger side ones are a 100% fit and the Drivers side ones are about 95% as there are a couple of little bits that i'm not entirely happy with. I'll just have to see how it copes with the weather...

I have bucket loads of adhesive left over LOL.

Now I just have to decide what i'm going to do with the headliner as it is currently still sat on my brothers bed atm.  the covering material is all dead, but the board is generally in good condition, although it needs some work.  I'm just not sure how it will stand up to having the old fabric removed...

The plan is also to brush the board with fibreglass resin to set it hard, and to also re-inforce a couple of areas where its cracked.

I have spoken to a trimmers company I know in MK (PG Trimmers) and have been told that to recover the headliner board (after its fixed) 2 sunvisors and the rear sail panels "won't break the bank" but he's requested to see it before quoting (will be fine as I know the guy and his wife from years back)

Have to see what happens.   In the mean time i'm driving about with no headliner.

Ditto. I'm wondering what sort of job a local upholsterer would do

Gator

headliners for those are easy/cheap enough to get hold of aint they

FUBAR

Its the shipping from the US that makes it expensive because of the size of box needed

Possibly, however i'm not sure how my current fibre board liner, whilst in good condition for its age, will stand up to having the old fabric removed, i'm tempted to spend a bit more and know it'll be right...

Seaking of which I phoned Hawks today and shipping to the UK with Bax Global to Heathrow is $140, they don't do a door-to-door option by the sounds of it.  still thats cheaper than I was expecting it to be.

Yoiu going black?

Roadkill

Yup.

Mine's black anyway (I think) but I want a carpet without the centre-console cut-out.

FUBAR

Well after this evenings attempts to do a bit of work on my old headliner board I have remembered the old saying "Its always 10 times worse underneath than it looks on the surface"

The board turned out to be as close to being in 3 or 4 bits as it possibly could be without looking totally shyte while in the car and was cracked in a fair few places as well.  The back section was in really good condition but ths was made up for by the centre (split) and front sections (disintegrating)
