Never attack a job like that assuming that it'll all go O.K.

Hmm good point, okey doke, i'll take the advise & wait until the car is home.

Well, the 'new' callipers are here... you can really tell that (on one of them in particular) they are remanufactured... the casting is battered other one is fine.
they appear to work though...

I'm not entirely happy TBH but I haven't got any choice.

Jeeze £400 for that

FUBAR

I know... trouble is I can't get to JWR to complain/swap as they aren't open weekends and I can't get across there on my push bike

Well if it's going to show when the caliper is fitted you have to return it

Oh you posted the picture four seconds before I posted, looks like it's on the inside so shouldn't be visible

I reckon so yes, but thats not really the point. Those things are £150 AFTER i've been so kind as to somehow take my cores back to them (which are in much better shape, albeit grubbier)

Even for Re-Manufactured ones I'd expect better than something that looks like its been used as a doorstop for a few years.

thing is out of shear inconvinience on my part they'll be getting away with it though.

That sounds almost like a plan then - if u wanted to just use the van/camaro as transport (if you insured to) thats another possibility!!

Rocky

All GM performance parts are made in Austrailia, I might of been able to get you brand new ones if i had read the thread sooner

I don't think my insurance covers me for driving other vehicles... i'll have a check tonight but i'm not optimistic.

I know when I used your van to move Keith back from Stoke we had to arrange a weekends insurance.
