What engine is / was it out of interest?

Titsy

And after we busted our arses rescuing it out of the car too....

BTW, in the absence of an engine crane, trolly jacks on the front wings and a scaffold poll between them works just as well....

First was the 1960 Humber Super Snipe . . . This was partially restored but sold when I moved and needed £££ for the house.

Then I brought a 1957 Humber Hawk which was my everydayer through rain, sleet and snow.

Then I brought a 1959 Humber S/S for spares for the '60.
The engine came from this.

Then, a few years later I brought the 1961 Humber for the TV unit . . . And BBQ.

Indeed.

I still have a soft spot for the Late 50's / early 60's Humbers.

Unfortunately they rust.  Fast.  And thanks to Dodge, as they threw out all the old tooling when they took Rootes Group over, replacement panels are Uber expensive and VERY rare.
Recently new panels have been made (not cheap) but this came after I spent a fortune getting my '60's arches rebuilt from scratch !!!

All Beautiful cars in my opinion . . . . Just suffer from tin worm over here, unfortunately.
