open ended question....

chevroeet themselves never actualy made the verts at all, T top cars were shipped to ACC to be chopped into factory approved verts.

the vert was oficialy available from 87, so an 84 would have been an after sale conversion by any one of a number of companies..

convertable camaro's never actualy appeared in showrooms till 87

that car doent have 84 GFX or nose, either.....

the conversion looks pukka, but the car looks like an 88 to me, too! that car has been horribly hacked about, and doesn't really match the description....avoid.
